Zoe Saldana Shares A New Photo From Set Of Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3

Zoe Saldana has just given MCU fans something new to look forward to.

Guardians of the Galaxy is a pretty popular franchise within Hollywood. The first film was extremely well received, so was the second (though not as much). Those successes led to director James Gunn getting more high-profile directing credits, including recent DC projects The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker. The entire cast of Guardians have benefited thoroughly as well, with more and more of them getting better acting roles. These successes have changed the way that Hollywood thinks about superhero space operas, and hopefully for the better.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is pretty stacked, not gonna lie. You have all the original Guardians returning, plus Will Poulter as the one and only Adam Warlock. Chukwudi Iwuji (who Gunn hired off working with him on Peacemaker) is the High Evolutionary. Karen Gillan and Sean Gunn are both also back, and Sylvester Stallone returns as Stakar Ogord. The film is set to be released on May 5, 2023. Production commenced in November 2021 at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta, and it looks like production is proceeding at a stable rate. Now, we have new photos from the set, courtesy of Zoe Saldana.

In new Instagram posts from Zoe Saldana, the actress is shown wearing Gamora makeup while staring at the camera. One of the photos includes Saldana in VFX makeup. You can see the 3 posts below:

Zoe Saldana looks pumped and ready for filming Guardians Vol. 3, which is such good news to hear. Fans are excited to see how Gamora plays into the threequel, after her death in Avengers: Infinity War. In Avengers: Endgame, a variant of her appeared to help the Avengers fight Thanos. This is the variant (presumably) that will appear in Vol. 3, and it’s a version of Gamora that will have no memory of any of the Guardians. This is the Gamora that has to re-form those relationships, and it’ll be exciting to see her go down that path.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will release in theaters on May 5, 2023. The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special will release on Disney+ in December 2022. I Am Groot will release on Disney+ in 2022. What did you think of this news? Are you excited for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and the Holiday Special?

Russian Scene Showcased In New Set Photos From Secret Invasion

Secret Invasion is set to be one hell of a TV show. Possibly the biggest ever created (in scale) for a streaming service.

It’s set to be a HUGE crossover project for Marvel Studios, and will change the outlook of the MCU going forward. It’s described as a suspense action thriller, and will incorporate elements of political thrillers, especially the paranoia aspect. The series is currently set for public release in 2022, but as of now it’s unknown if the show can make that projected release date.

The series stars Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn as Talos. Olivia Colman will reportedly play the Skrull Queen, Emilia Clarke is said to be a spy, and Christopher McDonald is thought of as a “Tucker Carlson figure”. Kingsley Ben-Adir and Killian Scott have been cast in yet unknown roles. Kyle Bradstreet is the head writer assigned to the project, and Thomas Bezucha and Ali Selim will direct the series. Now, we have new videos from the Secret Invasion set, and they’re quite telling.

Recently, user @SInvasionNews on Twitter posted a video of a seemingly Russian setting at Halifax Piece Hall in England. There are Russian banners, and they read “National Unity Day.” They seem to be shooting some kind of huge outdoor scene or celebration. It’s unknown how this scene will play into the greater plot. The full videos and tweets can be located below:

It’s always good news to hear that Secret Invasion is progressing in production at a steady rate and pace. How far along the series is in filming is unknown, but multiple cast members from the series and The Marvels will crossover. The 2 projects are extremely interwoven in their storylines and release schedules, so it makes sense to film close together (both in London as far as we know) so cast members have more ease getting from place to place in order for them to appear on-camera.

Secret Invasion is currently scheduled to be released in 2022 on Disney+. Nick Fury and Talos’ latest adventure can be found in Spider-Man: Far From Home, now available on PVOD. What did you think of this news? Are you excited for Secret Invasion?

Guessing Game: LLC Listing Could Be For Secret Wars

Marvel Studios has recently gone to a LOT of trouble to keep people from guessing their projects via LLCs registered. They’ve made up names as wacko as Grass-Fed Productions LLC (now known to be Secret Invasion), just to keep sleuths off the track. Pandemic Productions LLC was revealed to be The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Echo was Frequent Productions LLC. Now, we MAY know the real project for another LLC.

Murphy’s Multiverse reported in January 2021 that Standoffish Productions LLC was a Marvel Studios company, assigned for a feature film. At Cinema Reviewed, we’ve confirmed this with our own sources. Now, this is pure speculation, but Standoffish could be referring to the upcoming Marvel Studios project Secret Wars.

Could Standoffish Productions LLC Be For Secret Wars?

While the project has not been officially announced, it’s expected to be a feature film, and the Russo Brothers have reportedly even been in talks about directing the film. The name lines up with the project as well. Standoffish would refer to a standoff between 2 or more groups of people. In Secret Wars, that’s exactly what happens. Secret Invasion could also serve as a bounce point to Secret Wars, and bring on the next chapter of MCU storytelling.

Standoffish Productions was registered in 2020, and as such is likely for an MCU film that is set to release soon. How soon? We don’t know. What we do know, is that Secret Wars has been talked about quite a bit at Marvel Studios, and might even take a 2024 date. With the Russo Brothers seemingly in talks, it’s clear that Marvel Studios is ready to enter the next phase of development, and it’ll be interesting to see how fast Marvel wants to develop the film.

Pure theoretical timeline here, but if Marvel Studios has their director, then they’re set in the first phase. Writing can be estimated to 6 months, and that takes us to July 2022. Signing contracts with actors, casting, all that, estimate 6 months. January 2023. Filming start in March 2023, runs for 4-6 months maximum, September 2023. 8-10 months for post-production, and we could see Secret Wars take the July 2024 slot.

Whatever the case, all will be revealed soon. Marvel Studios will make an appearance at the D23 Expo, and hopefully an announcement will come there. Let us know what project you think Standoffish might be for or whether you think Secret Wars will take the July 2024 date by mentioning @ReviewedCinema on Twitter. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Unexpectedly Halts Production Again Due To Omicron Variant

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, is a controversial film, to say the least. To put it in perspective, the face of the franchise, Chadwick Boseman, tragically passed away in August 2020, due to complications with stage 4 colon cancer.

This is a mess on top of a mess, and it’s seemingly gotten to the point where some fans don’t even want another Black Panther film. They’d prefer that either a) the Black Panther franchise ends with Boseman, or b) T’Challa is recast. What the right answer is, well, there is none. There is no good answer. Everyone won’t be happy no matter the end result.

On top of that, the film’s lead star, Letitia Wright, has made public comments regarding the COVID-19 vaccine. Specifically, Wright has made comments opposing the vaccine. She’s now reportedly gotten the vaccine, but not after a prolonged fight that included nearly 2 months of delays on production (although due to a different injury for Wright). Now, the film has been delayed yet again, and this time, it’s related to COVID-19.

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that a week after restarting production in Atlanta, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has had to shut down production again, due to a COVID-19 outbreak on-set. Cast member Lupita Nyong’o was among the infected. It’s unknown if Letitia Wright tested positive for the virus, after making anti-vaccination comments last year, but more information is expected to be released soon. There currently is no timeline for when production may resume in Atlanta.

That’s not good. The fact that the production only resumed for a week, then shut down again, is not good. It’s always possible that Marvel Studios is considering a delay for the Black Panther sequel at this point, given both The Marvels (Feb. 2023) and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (Jul. 2023) are in the post-production process. However, there has been no public indication of a release date shift.

If a reshuffling of the film slate does occur, the likely outcome is that The Marvels gets moved up to the Nov. 2022 release slot and Black Panther will take the Feb. 2023 slot. Other possibilities include shifting of Quantumania and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, but it’s unlikely that either of those films will be moved from their current release slots, given the interconnected storylines.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is currently set to release in theaters on November 11, 2022. Catch the original Black Panther streaming on Disney+ now. What did you think of this news? Do you think that the set of Wakanda Forever should be shut down due to COVID-19?

New Moon Knight Trailer And Poster Debut At The NFL Playoffs

Moon Knight is coming together for fans thanks to a recent trailer.

11 Marvel projects are set to release in 2022, and we only have trailers for 3 of them. Interestingly enough, 2 of those are for Sony projects: those being Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse (Part One), and Morbius. The only other project we have an “official” trailer for is Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. However, on Saturday the internet received a message from Marvel Studios. On Monday, January 17, the world received the very first full-length trailer for Moon Knight.

Moon Knight is one of those highly popularized comic book characters. And that makes it a REALLY GOOD candidate for a Marvel Studios project. The series stars Oscar Isaac as the title character, with Ethan Hawke, May Calamawy, Emily VanCamp, and Mabanza supporting. Mohamed Diab will direct 4 episodes, with duo Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson directing the other 2. Jeremy Slater is head writer. The series is reportedly set to release on Disney+ on March 30, 2022, and now, we finally have our first trailer for the show.

A new poster and trailer for Moon Knight have debuted at the NFL Super Wild Card matchup between the Cardinals and the Rams on Monday night. The debut was announced via Marvel Studios social media on Saturday morning to promote the drop at the game, which was the final game of the NFL’s Super Wild Card weekend.

Minutes after release, the internet was raving about the newest Disney+ series, and what we can expect.

See the full trailer and poster below:

Wow. We really just got our first look at Moon Knight. The series looks insane and epic and crazy. And so, so, so dark. The final shot was grizzly and dark, and fans around the world have loved it. Moon Knight looks truly dark, and it may be the best Marvel Studios TV series to date. Thankfully, we’ll only have to wait 2 more months to find out and experience the newest original series for ourselves.

Catch Moon Knight when it releases on Disney+ on March 30, 2022! What did you think of the trailer? Are you excited to see Moon Knight?

Ms. Marvel: Intriguing New Information On 2022 Reshoots And Episode Runtimes Revealed

The MCU is going in entirely new directions then was previously thought possible. From Eternals to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the potential for different types of projects is so vast, you can’t even count them. Eternals and Captain Marvel took the MCU in a more cosmic direction, while Spider-Man: No Way HomeWandaVisionWhat If…?, and Loki opened a Multiverse of possibilities (pun very intended). It’s exciting to see where Disney and Marvel will steer the boat going forward, but representation is clearly a big part of that plan. However, representation can be incredibly controversial, as seen with Ms. Marvel.

The series is headlined by up-and-coming actress Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel). The series is directed by Billal Fillah, Adil El Arbi, and Meera Menon. The show is set to release in Summer 2022, and now, we have more info about what might be going on behind-the-scenes for Ms. Marvel.

Per One Take News, the reshoots that are slated to take place for Ms. Marvel will be roughly a month in length, with The Cosmic Circus saying that the exact dates are from January 24 to February 28, and will shoot in Atlanta. Per The Cosmic Circus, the second unit will also film for two weeks, concurrently.

The reshoots are not expected to change Ms. Marvel’s powers, which have been a subject of controversy recently. Each episode is expected to be about half an hour in length, without credits. The series is also reportedly being considered for multiple seasons, provided the first one doesn’t fail.

Interesting. These developments certainly aren’t terrible, but they’re not necessarily the best, either. For comparison, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (a movie) had 6 weeks of reshoots. Hawkeye had 3 days. The former was rumored to have severe plot issues, and as such underwent extensive additional photography. The latter presumably didn’t have many issues. This doesn’t bode well for Ms. Marvel, as the series is set to start 5 weeks of reshoots. How extensive the plot will be modified is unknown, but hopefully these reshoots fix whatever issues the series might have.

Ms. Marvel will debut on Disney+ in 2022. What did you think of this news? Why do you think the new show is getting such extensive reshoots? Do you want more than half-hour episodes?

Doctor Strange 2 Star Xochitl Gomez Celebrates Wrap On Reshoots

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is getting closer every day, and we can’t wait for the final result.

The MCU is going in a horror-filled direction, but that doesn’t mean that there can’t be some fun along the way. For instance, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The sequel has a stacked cast, as mentioned many times before, but once more, it features Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Xochitl Gomez, Benedict Wong, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Rachel McAdams. How every one of these cast members play into the film, no one knows, but one thing’s for sure. It’s going to be a horror-filled ride, and the fans are all in.

The sequel to 2016’s Doctor Strange has been marketed as the first MCU film to become part of the horror genre, as well as suspense and mystery. The sequel is directed by Sam Raimi, who previously did the 3 Spider-Man films that featured Tobey Maguire. Countless cameos for the series have been rumored, and one of them might just be the return of Patrick Stewart’s Professor X. We’ll have to wait until May to know for sure, but in the meantime, Xochitl Gomez (America Chavez) has celebrated her wrap on the sequel.

In a new TikTok video, Xochitl Gomez is shown dancing on the set of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, to celebrate the wrap of production on reshoots for the film. The additional photography period spanned 6 weeks, which is much longer than most films and TV series take to film whatever reshoots are needed. The TikTok video can be seen below:

It’s finally complete! Reshoots on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness are done. It’s gratifying to hear that additional photography is complete, as it means that the film is ready to enter the post-production process. In 3 months time, it’ll be ready to release to the public, and fans are going to enjoy every second of the film that we get from Marvel Studios. What the reshoots were for, and how much they’ll affect the story are unknown, but following the release, it’s likely that we’ll know due to interviews and other promotional material.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will release in theaters on May 6, 2022. Doctor Strange is now streaming on Disney+. What did you think of this news? Are you excited to see America Chavez in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness?

Secret Invasion Release Date Might Be Displayed In New Marvel Post

We may know when Secret Invasion is coming.

The MCU is looking to have a giant 2022, like, bigger than 2021. 11 PROJECTS are releasing; that’s insane for a studio. It helps, though, that 6 of the projects will be Disney+ releases. The other 5 will be theatrical releases, 2 of which are distributed by Sony Pictures, in association with Marvel Studios. It is the biggest year ever for a connected franchise, and Marvel doesn’t look to be slowing down any time soon. Of those 11, Secret Invasion is poised as a big player for the MCU going forward, so here’s what we know.

Secret Invasion has a stacked cast. Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn headline the cast, clearly, but what you may not know is the supporting cast. Olivia Colman, Emilia Clarke, and Kingsley Ben-Adir are all involved, as well as Christopher McDonald, Killian Scott, and Carmen Ejogo. Cobie Smulders will also return as Maria Hill. Thomas Bezucha and Ali Selim will direct the series, and Kyle Bradstreet is penning the script. The series was set to be released in 2023, but it may be looking up for the political thriller, as new info points to the series releasing in 2022.

In a new image from Marvel Japan, obtained by The Cosmic Circus, Marvel Studios’ 2022 slate seems to be displayed. Eternals is present, as the film arrived on Disney+ January 12, as well as HawkeyeMoon KnightShe-HulkMs. MarvelDoctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Thor: Love and Thunder are all present as well, unsurprisingly. However, there are 3 notable additions. What If…? Season 2 is present, as well as fellow animated series I Am Groot. The big surprise is Secret Invasion is also present, following a report that the series was set to be released in 2023. The images can be seen below:

We have a LOT in store for us in 2022. Secret InvasionI Am Groot, and What If…? Season 2 added to the list? We’re in for a PACKED year. Everyone has a different favorite project for the year, but it’s hard to imagine that people aren’t hyped for Secret Invasion. That TV series is going to be huge. Insiders have claimed it to be a crossover event, with Avengers returning from all over. It’ll be off the charts in scale, and it’s nice to know that we won’t have to wait until 2023 to see the show debut.

I Am Groot and What If…? Season 2 were rumored to be released in 2022, but never confirmed until now.

Secret Invasion will release on Disney+ in 2022. Catch Nick Fury & Talos’ latest adventure in Spider-Man: Far From Home, now available on PVOD. What did you think of this news? Are you excited to see Secret Invasion in 2022?
