Zoe Saldana Shares A New Photo From Set Of Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3

Zoe Saldana has just given MCU fans something new to look forward to.

Guardians of the Galaxy is a pretty popular franchise within Hollywood. The first film was extremely well received, so was the second (though not as much). Those successes led to director James Gunn getting more high-profile directing credits, including recent DC projects The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker. The entire cast of Guardians have benefited thoroughly as well, with more and more of them getting better acting roles. These successes have changed the way that Hollywood thinks about superhero space operas, and hopefully for the better.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is pretty stacked, not gonna lie. You have all the original Guardians returning, plus Will Poulter as the one and only Adam Warlock. Chukwudi Iwuji (who Gunn hired off working with him on Peacemaker) is the High Evolutionary. Karen Gillan and Sean Gunn are both also back, and Sylvester Stallone returns as Stakar Ogord. The film is set to be released on May 5, 2023. Production commenced in November 2021 at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta, and it looks like production is proceeding at a stable rate. Now, we have new photos from the set, courtesy of Zoe Saldana.

In new Instagram posts from Zoe Saldana, the actress is shown wearing Gamora makeup while staring at the camera. One of the photos includes Saldana in VFX makeup. You can see the 3 posts below:

Zoe Saldana looks pumped and ready for filming Guardians Vol. 3, which is such good news to hear. Fans are excited to see how Gamora plays into the threequel, after her death in Avengers: Infinity War. In Avengers: Endgame, a variant of her appeared to help the Avengers fight Thanos. This is the variant (presumably) that will appear in Vol. 3, and it’s a version of Gamora that will have no memory of any of the Guardians. This is the Gamora that has to re-form those relationships, and it’ll be exciting to see her go down that path.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will release in theaters on May 5, 2023. The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special will release on Disney+ in December 2022. I Am Groot will release on Disney+ in 2022. What did you think of this news? Are you excited for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and the Holiday Special?

Kevin Feige Is Reportedly “Stoked” From Scenes Of Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is on its way, and it already has the approval of the MCU’s most brilliant minds.

Kevin Feige is the most successful producer in Hollywood. The film side of Marvel Studios has generated over $20 billion in revenue and the TV side has driven countless subscribers to Disney’s direct-to-streaming platform, Disney+. Up next for Feige in Phase Four: 2022. What does 2022 consist of, you ask? 3 films, 4 TV series, and 1 television special (could be 2).

Overall, it’s 8-9 projects, and we’re not even including Morbius and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One). Soon enough, it’ll be time for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is the fourth installment of the Guardians franchise. Now you’re asking, “But it’s Vol. 3, not Vol. 4?” Well, yes and no. You’re forgetting about The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, which both Kevin Feige and James Gunn have confirmed that the special will be canon to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We might also want to count Thor: Love and Thunder, as the film will feature many Guardians in prominent roles. However, for the time being the action is focused on Guardians Vol. 3, and so far, Kevin Feige is loving it.

In a recent interview with ColliderGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 director James Gunn spoke about Chukwudi Iwuji’s performance in the threequel, and how excited everyone at Marvel was about the scenes they’ve seen from the film so far. Here’s what Gunn said:

It’s going great. Chukwudi, who plays Murn in Peacemaker, is one of the main characters in the movie and people are freaking out over how good this guy is. Literally freaking out. I think that I’m really happy. I gave a bunch of scenes to Marvel right before Christmas break. Kevin [Feige] went… They were all really, really, really stoked. But also, it’s not going to be the movie people… It’s different than what people are going to expect. It’s a hard road, but I’m really happy with it so far.

Gunn also touched on The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. The 40-50 minute special is due out on Disney+ in 11 months, but guess what? Principal photography hasn’t even started yet, according to Gunn. Full quote:

It’s still upcoming in the shoot. We were supposed to shoot one day in LA, and there’s too much Omicron around, so we couldn’t do it. We’re going to have to fit it in. I haven’t started yet. I’m excited to. It’s fun. The holiday special is… I’m almost jealous of it, even though I wrote it because people freak out so much on how much they love the script for the holiday special that I’m almost like, “Well, wait. I’ve got this movie here I’ve been working on for two years. You love the holiday special that I literally wrote in a very short amount of time.” But, it is really funny and really good.

James Gunn on the production status of The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 looks to be proceeding at a stable pace, and is looking to make its release date of May 5, 2023. The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, however, is a totally different story. Not even started filming? And it releases in 11 months…….nah, what is there to worry about? Marvel’s got this (we hope). Anyway, for Chukwudi Iwuji, he’s been rumored to play the High Evolutionary in the film.

For those not familiar with the character, he’s a villain from the Marvel comics that experiments on children to gain power. It would fit perfectly if he was to play the villain in the film, but remember, Adam Warlock’s also involved, and we don’t know how just yet. And for Kevin Feige to be “stoked” from scenes of the film……that takes a lot.

James Gunn Confirms That Guardians 3 Will Film In Georgia

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is off the scale when it comes to anticipation, so naturally spoilers will be leaked to the public. Now, it just became a bit easier to do that.

In a recent interview with Collider, James Gunn confirmed that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will film in Georgia, starting this November. Previously, it was confirmed that Vol. 3 would shoot in London in the fall, but as Murphy’s Multiverse has pointed out, nothing is final until the shoot begins. Murphy’s Multiverse was also the first to post that Vol. 3 had switched locations from London to Georgia.

James Gunn Confirms That Guardians Vol. 3 Script Has Been Done For Years

It’s no stretch to say that James Gunn’s third venture into the Marvel Cinematic Universe is highly anticipated. Some would even go beyond that. Now, Marvel fans know just how long the third Guardians film has had its script done.

In a recent interview with Collider, James Gunn confirmed that the script for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 had been done “for years”. Gunn also confirmed that the film would officially be titled “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3”. Full quote:

It’s basically been finished for years. I keep fiddling with different things and adding things, and figuring out permutations and stuff. I’m in the middle of doing another draft now, but it’s really small stuff in comparison to what it has been. It’s basically been finished since three years ago.
