Echo is in production.

Marvel Studios has taken full advantage of Disney+. Releasing six series since 2021 and no signs of slowing down. With at least three more shows premiering in 2022 and many more currently filming or planned. The studio is introducing us to new characters in each passing series.

Recently, within their series Hawkeye, we were introduced to a conflicted character played by Alaqua Cox. In the MCU, she’s Maya Lopez, who wants revenge on Kingpin for her father’s murder. This introduction to Maya’s character was a precursor to her own series Echo. Maya’s future was left up in the air at the finale of Hawkeye. However, now we have a look inside at what is to come.

First Look at Maya Lopez and Synopsis For Echo

Newly released first image of Alaqua Cox as Maya in the MCU Disney+ series Echo, which is currently filming in Georgia. Disney also released a synopsis for the show with cast announcements:

‘The origin story of Echo revisits Maya Lopez, whose ruthless behavior in New York City catches up with her in her hometown. She must face her past, reconnect with her Native American roots and embrace the meaning of family and community if she ever hopes to move forward. “Echo” also stars Chaske Spencer (“Wild Indian,” “The =”), Tantoo Cardinal (“Killers of the Flower Moon,” “Stumptown”), Devery Jacobs (FX’s “Reservation Dogs,” “American Gods”) and Cody Lightning (“Hey, Viktor!” “Four Sheets to the Wind”), with Graham Greene (“1883,” “Goliath”) and Zahn McClarnon (“Dark Winds,” FX’s “Reservation Dogs”).’

The synopsis for Echo

Maya Lopez is definitely an interesting character and her arc is far from over. Therefore, we can look forward to an interesting journey with what I’m sure is to have a lot of twists and turns. Even though it had not been officially announced, we could see Kingpin and even Daredevil show up in the series.
