Godzilla vs Kong 2 is coming together. The Monsterverse is one of the more successful cinematic universes. It started back in 2014 with Godzilla. Then it was followed by Kong: Skull Island in 2017 which introduced King Kong. Soon after Godzilla: King of The Monsters introduced a lot of new monsters to the world. Finally, the two titans crossed over last year in Godzilla vs Kong. Since then the future of the franchise has been a little unclear. There is an upcoming Apple TV+ spinoff show. But fans have really wanted to know about a movie sequel.

Godzilla vs Kong 2 was announced to be happening last year. Unfortunately, we have not learned a lot about the sequel. The only concrete details we know are that Adam Wingard will be returning to direct and that it begins filming this summer in Australia. But now we know who the (non-monster)star of the movie will be.

Dan Stevens Joins Godzilla Vs Kong 2

Deadline has reported that Dan Stevens will be starring in Godzilla vs Kong 2. Stevens previously worked with director Adam Wingard on The Guest. Deadline also reported that the sequel will “follow the film’s larger-than-life monsters and then preparing for their next battle against each other,”.

Firstly, Dan Stevens is a great get for the franchise. Stevens is a fantastic actor; His performance in Legion is one of the best on tv. And it will be a treat to see him react to all the craziness of a MonsterVerse film. Secondly, it is pretty surprising to see that the sequel will feature both Godzilla and King Kong. Fans were expecting the movie to just follow one of the monsters. However, with no real details available about the movie it is hard to know what to expect. At this point, it is best to just wait for the studio to reveal more details before jumping to any conclusions about the plot.
