Scream 6 is going to be great. The Scream franchise is one of the best horror franchises. Without a doubt, the first two movies are some of the best horror movies of all time. Unfortunately, the franchise took a bit of a dip with the third and fourth movies. Thankfully, Scream 5 got the franchise back on track. It was a critical and financial success. As a result, the studio quickly approved a sequel.
Scream 6 starts production later this summer. Most of the cast from the 2022 film are returning. Including, Jenna Ortega and Melissa Barrera. Scream 5 brought back the original trio from the first three movies. So fans have been speculating what characters might return for the sequel. And thanks to a new report we have an idea of who will be back.
Hayden Panettiere Is Returning To The Scream Franchise
The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Hayden Panettiere is returning for Scream 6. Panettiere previously appeared in Scream 4 as Kirby Reed. Kirby was thought to have been killed off in Scream 4. But a blink and you’ll miss easter-egg in 2022’s Scream confirmed that she survived.
Fans will be thrilled about this. Kirby is a fan-favorite character in the Scream Franchise. There has been a lot of speculation on if she survived or not. Thankfully, the last installment of the franchise confirmed that she did survive. Since then, there has been a lot of demand for Kirby to return for the next movie. And now fans will finally get to see her back in action against Ghostface.
Hopefully, we learn what Kirby has been up to all these years and how she has changed since the events of the fourth movie. Additionally, it will be really great to see Kirby interact with the new cast of the films. While the size of her role is unknown, it will likely be a fairly large role based on how important the original trio was in Scream 5.
