Andor is the next big Star Wars show. While the movies have faltered some, Star Wars has been thriving on tv. Ever since The Mandalorian, there has been a big resurgence in Star Wars popularity. Both seasons of The Mandalorian were a hit and so was The Book of Boba Fett. And the trend will continue with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Andor both coming later this year.

Andor is a prequel to Rogue One. Accordingly, it follows Cassian Andor during the early stages of the rebellion. Diego Luna is reprising his role as Cassian Andor from Rogue One. Unlike other Disney+ shows, it is expected to have a 12-episode first season. And it will run for 3 seasons. We have known for a while that the show will have connections to the broader Star Wars universe, but now we know exactly what some of those connections are.

Mudtroopers And Death Troopers Will Appear In Andor

Bespin Bulletin reports that both Death Troopers and Mudtroopers will appear in Andor. Death Trooper first appeared in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and had a brief appearance in Star Wars: Rebels and The Mandalorian. While Mudtroopers briefly showed up in Solo: A Star Wars Story.

While this news does not seem like much at first, it can give us an idea of the show’s scope. Death Troopers generally act as security for high-level Imperial Officers. Whereas, Mudtroopers are infantry units. So, if both these troopers are in the show we can expect the show to visit a variety of places. Maybe will see Cassian infiltrating Imperial headquarters and getting into firefights with Mudtroopers. Not to mention, both Death Trooper and Mudtroopers just look really cool.
