Chris Hemsworth Thor fans, you’re not done after Thor: Love and Thunder.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has a very different look than it did even just a few years ago. Characters we have watched from Phase One on are gone, minor characters have stepped into much bigger roles and new faces are popping up all the time. The Avengers are not as assembled as we would like them to be these days. However, the cinematic world that Marvel has built has expanded in a huge way.

One of the founding members of the Avengers, Thor has been an onscreen favorite since his first appearance. He has also been one of the best developed characters within the MCU. For all his likeable personality and even his insecurities, Thor is the most down-to-Earth superhero. All of these reasons are why he’s the first character to receive a fourth installment in his respective franchise and it is one of the most highly anticipated movies of the year.

In this fourth film, we will see the mantle of Thor taken up by a returning face to the franchise. Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster is back for the first time since Thor: The Dark World. Much like Jane Foster in the comic series, Portman will wield Mjolnir and become Mighty Thor in this new film, to help Hemsworth’s Thor battle his most powerful adversary yet, Gorr The God Butcher. Little else is known about the movie. However, many speculate that this could be the last time we see Chris Hemsworth as Thor in the MCU.

New Rumor States That Chris Hemsworth Could Return To The MCU

Recently, John Campea was asked on his show what he thought about Hemsworth’s future as Thor might look like. Campea responded, see the full quote below:

I can’t remember if [what I know] came from a public source or a private source, but based on my source, Thor: Love and Thunder ain’t gonna be the last time we see Chris Hemsworth as Thor, no.

John Campea on the future of Chris Hemsworth

Campea also went on to say that he “won’t say why” he knows that Hemsworth will return. Leading us to believe that he has more information about the direction the MCU might be going in the future.

Granted, this is the claims of a popular YouTube host and not given in an official capacity. Speculation and rumors are the name of the game for YouTubers. However, Campea’s words hold a higher merit then most as proven a few times, especially when it pertains to the MCU. He inadvertently gave us our first look of all 3 Spider-Men together from No Way Home and more insights. We can hope that it isn’t Hemsworth’s last outing, as there is plenty of source material to keep him in the game in some capacity.
