Thor: Love and Thunder fans, your wait is over.
The MCU is an ever-connected universe. It’s exampled with Captain Marvel and Hulk in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, or Blade in Eternals. And it’s like that because Kevin Feige has executed his vision in the best way possible. Feige is the highest-grossing producer of all time, and for good reason. He created an interconnected universe out of a pile of comic books. A highly popular franchise in that universe? Thor.
Thor is a huge franchise within the MCU. I mean, HUGE. The franchise has garnered 3 films as of yet, Thor, Thor: The Dark World, and Thor: Ragnarok. A fourth, Thor: Love and Thunder, is set to release in July. But here’s what makes Love and Thunder so special. The film has broken the MCU trailer record, and has gone until nearly 2 months pre-release to drop one. Finally, though, we have it.
Thor: Love And Thunder Trailer Has Arrived
Today, Marvel Studios dropped the highly anticipated trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder. You can watch the full trailer below:
This was an amazing teaser, full stop. An amazing song to jam to, wonderful themes of self-exploration and finding yourself. However, if you’re asking right now why there wasn’t more substance to the trailer, it’s because it was a teaser. We didn’t get something huge because it’s not the official trailer, it’s just meant to introduce us to the film. I like that. In the next trailer, likely in the next month or two, we’ll likely have a lot more. But the official plot synopsis…
Thor’s on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher, who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie, Korg and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.Official Marvel synopsis for Thor: Love and Thunder
