Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to be HUGE. Marvel and Disney are no strangers to leaks and rumors. Just last year, Marvel Studios and Sony released Spider-Man: No Way Home. The film had been picked apart months before release with leaks, rumors, and even entire set photos of the surprise characters returning for the film. With Doctor Strange 2 also set to be a multiversal film, there is more than likely huge characters from past franchises returning, and if so, Marvel is making sure that does not get out pre-release.
The hype surrounding Sam Raimi’s triumphant return to the superhero genre is HIGH. Fans have been super excited to see what Raimi does with the character of Doctor Strange. The first trailer released after Spider-Man: No Way Home, confirming our suspicions on multiple versions of our characters we love in the film. Fans were quick to notice that that could mean we could also see many other characters appear as well. As such, Marvel seems to have caught our suspicions and has given the film the “Endgame” treatment.
Doctor Strange 2 Will Not Have Press Screenings Until Week Of Release
Erik Davis from Fandango and Rotten Tomatoes has reported that Marvel/Disney are giving Doctor Strange the “Star Wars and Endgame treatment.” Davis also says that no one will see the full film until May 2. Therefore, leaks and rumors will be shut down and no surprise cameos will be leaked out. Davis also reported that reviews will drop the day after on May 3. Read the tweet below!
This report was corroborated with Steven Weintraub, the editor-in-chief of Collider, and Rob Keyes, the editorial director at ScreenRant.
