Jac Schaeffer is picking up the story of the Maximoff twins once again.
The creator of ‘WandaVision‘ is working on a ‘Young Avengers’ series for Marvel Studios. Once finished, it will head to Disney+ as one of Marvel’s many original series on the platform. Other writers working with Schaeffer on the project are currently unknown.
There has been no official casting news as of yet, but the Maximoff twins, Billy and Tommy, are expected to return, with Julian Hilliard and Jett Klyne expected to return. Eli Bradley from Marvel’s ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier‘ is also expected to return, played by Elijah Richardson.
The team is also expected to include Kathryn Newton’s Stature, meaning that the series is likely to release after ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’. Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop is also expected to return as Hawkeye, which she will first appear as in ‘Hawkeye‘, releasing later this year. Iman Vellani’s Ms. Marvel might appear, currently set to star in ‘Ms. Marvel‘, releasing later this year as well. Xochitl Gomez’s America Chavez will most likely round out the cast, first appearing in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness‘, releasing next year.
Late last month, Schaeffer signed an overall deal with Marvel Studios to develop TV series for a 3-year period. This is the first of the series that she will write and produce for Marvel.
Schaeffer’s main credits are ‘WandaVision‘, the highly anticipated ‘Black Widow‘, ‘Timer‘, and ‘The Hustle‘.
